The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort features over 1,000 beautifully decorated rooms in five three-story buildings. There are elevators in each building. All rooms have a terrace, full bathroom with shower/tub combination, air conditioning, satellite TV, hair dryer, ceiling fan, mini-bar, in-room safe, telephone, electronic door locks. Pay movies and video game consoles are available (surcharge). Each room is decorated with warm, cheery colors, brightly colored bedspreads, headboards, and wall lamps. Mini-bars are stocked daily. Bathrobes are also furnished.
Room decor is in the traditional Mexican hacienda style with tile flooring throughout. Pastel-colored walls, red marble accents, wall paintings, and artwork create a fun and inviting atmosphere.
The grounds are carefully manicured, with garden courtyards, bushes, and flowers. Swaying palms are about the grounds, and a carefree feeling permeates the premises.
